Ingredients:
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh fruits (such as berries) for topping
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form.
3. Gradually add the sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, and vanilla extract while continuing to beat on medium speed until stiff peaks form.
4. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a round or oval shape with slightly raised edges.
5. Place the pavlova in the preheated oven and immediately reduce the temperature to 250°F (120°C). Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the pavlova is crisp on the outside and slightly soft on the inside.
6. Turn off the oven and leave the pavlova inside to cool completely.
7. Once the pavlova is cooled, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
8. Carefully transfer the pavlova to a serving plate and top with the whipped cream and fresh fruits.
